Summer Session 2013 finds the MSU campus in full bloom and very active. Centennial Mall, which runs through the center of campus, is an inviting place to meet a friend, read a book, eat your lunch, or simply enjoy the surroundings.

North Hedges Suite #1 and Roskie Hall are the residence halls available for on-campus student housing during Summer Session 2013. Both are centrally located on campus providing convenient access to dining facilities,

Every living space is furnished with bed(s), mattress pad, pillow, desk, chair, as well as dressers and closets. All residence halls have cable and high-speed internet via ResNet at no additional cost. Residents

The North Hedges Suites are our newest halls on campus and provide apartment-style living with the convenience and value of living on campus. The two, three and four person suites have private bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchenettes and living room. (This living option is only available to students with prior Montana State University Residence Hall experience.)

Roskie's unique design helps build an upbeat, active community. Roskie Deluxe Singles on the 10th and 11th floor boast carpeted rooms, moveable oak furniture, generous square footage (the same size as a Roskie double room!), and the best views on campus. All rooms in Roskie are single occupancy for the summer session. Roskie is close to Miller Dining Hall and to the "Roskie Beach" outdoor recreation area.

MSU provides linens which consist of mattress pads, pillows and sheets. Room assignments are made by date of application (first-come, first-served basis). All suites and buildings are non-smoking, inclusive of private rooms and public area space.

We will begin making room assignments in mid-April. Payment for housing is due within the first four days of check-in. Housing for students on the 12 month contract will be available starting May 4, at 9:00am. Summer Session housing will be available starting on Sunday, May 12, at 9:00 a.m.

The Residence Life/University Food Services Office in the Hedges Complex is open from 8AM to 5PM, Monday through Friday and can be reached by calling (406) 994-2661. The office will be closed on weekends and for all state and federal holidays.

Meal Plans

Miller Dining Hall is available to Summer Session students. Meal plans are optional and can be purchased at the Residence Life Cashier's Office in increments of 25, 50, or 75 meals. Availability of meals throughout Summer Session is dependent on conference activity.  Hours and days of service will be posted at the front desks.

Room Charges

Residence hall rates are based on six and twelve week sessions. However, if you are here for a shorter or longer session, rates will be prorated accordingly.

*All residence halls have a $10 Social Fee established by the Residence Hall Association, which is assessed in conjunction with room and board payments each semester. The Social Fee is assessed to every student living in the residence halls and is nonrefundable. Room and Board prices include ResNet Internet service.

**Those students who have Residence Hall contracts for Spring 2013 and the 2013-2014 academic year are eligible for summer housing as non-students for $990.00 for the entire summer (may be paid in 4 installments of $247.50).

Summer Session Housing Credit Requirements

Residence Life summer housing is available to students staying six or more weeks and who are taking three or more credits. (Students who qualify for the 12 month option do not have to take classes).
