P2P Guide: eDonkey and eMule
Making the following changes in the eDonkey 2000 settings and completely shutting it down when you are not actively using it will help prevent wasting bandwidth.
- Go to the Options menu in the top left of the screen.
- You want to set Max download and Max upload speed to around 64 KB/sec. Also you want to ensure the check box next to Close sends to System Tray is NOT checked. This will keep eDonkey from running with out you knowing.
