Setup Guide: Mac OSX
1. Go to the Apple Menu and select "System Preferences" from the drop-down menu.
2. Click on the icon labeled "Network" to set up network options.
3. Select "Ethernet" from the "Show" menu choices. Note: AirPort systems are strictly prohibited by the Acceptable Use Policy. For more information, please call the ResNet help desk at (406) 994-1929.
4. Select "Using DHCP" from the "Configure" menu choices as shown.
5. In the box labeled "Search Domains" enter msu.montana.edu. Note: there is no need to enter the IP address, subnet mask, and router information. All that information will be provided by ResNet's DHCP server.
6. Click on the tab labeled "AppleTalk" as shown.
7. Click on the box next to "Make AppleTalk Active."
8. Now click on the "Proxies" tab.
9. Click on the box labeled "Use Passive FTP Mod (PASV)."
10. Note: Be sure that there are no proxies entered here. There is no longer a Web proxy. To return to the main screen, click on the "Show All" icon in the upper left corner.
