Creating and accessing your montana.edu student email account has never been easier! Now, instead of having to telnet to your account you can simply go to a web site. This new graphical interface gives students easy access and more power over their montana.edu account.
1. To get started go to http://mymail.msu.montana.edu. The following window will appear:
2. To setup your account click on the "MyMail Account Set-up" button. The following screen should appear. (If you already have an MSU email account set-up you may skip to step 10)
3. Enter your student ID, last name, and your MSU pin, which is usually your 6 digit birthday. Example if you were born on April 2, 1980 you would enter 040280.
4. When you are done click the "Continue" button.
5. At the "Main Menu" page click on the "Create Account" button. The following screen will appear.
6. On this screen you will select your user name (user name@montana.edu). Click the "Continue" button. The next window will prompt you to set a new password.
7. Click the "Choose Password" link.
8. Remember your password must not be in the dictionary, no capital letters, no symbols or spaces, and must be 6 to 14 characters long.
9. After you have entered your new password, return to the "Main Menu" and click the "Log Out" button.
