Carina Beck currently oversees the Office of Student Success and the Career, Internship & Student Employment Services Office at Montana State University.  In this capacity she is charged with developing student success initiatives to improve overall retention and completion rates for the institution while at the same time bolstering career development, financial literacy, internship participation and employer relations.  

Beck received her Doctorate in Education from Montana State University and Master’s in Organizational Communication from The University of Montana.  She has taught courses in communication, career development and human resources.  In addition, she enjoys researching student persistence and new member socialization tactics.  

Beck and her husband, Larry, have two sons, a neighbors cat, two voles and several deer (the later two seem to have declared war on gardens --  Beck's other beloved past-time).

Erin has been at MSU since 2004 and joined the Career & Internship Services office in the Spring of 2008.  She has a B.S. in Psychology from Montana State University and her Master’s of Education in Student Affairs, also from MSU.  Erin serves as the operations manager for the two offices. She enjoys gardening and traveling (preferably somewhere strange and impromptu).

Lori is the Budget Analyst and Systems Manager for Career & Internship Services, Office of Student Success and Financial Education. She has a B.A. in Communications and Psychology from Purdue University and her Master's of Science in Human Resource Management, also from Purdue.

Amanda has worked at MSU since 2005 and joined the Office of Student Success in July 2013. Amanda has a Bachelor of Science in Business Management from MSU as well as an Associate of Applied Science in Photography from Northwest College. Amanda manages the Return to Learn program, helping former MSU students get back to school after taking a break from university. She also manages the Early Alert program, which allows faculty and staff to refer students to our office if they are worried about their student’s academic success.

Amanda really enjoys connecting with students, encouraging their growth and development, and empowering them to forge their own path at MSU and beyond.

Tonya started working as a Research Analyst for the Office of Student Success in 2012.  She received both her B.S. and M.S. in Mathematics from Montana State University and her Ph.D. in Statistics from Colorado School of Mines.  Tonya supports the office with data mining, data analysis, and predictive modeling.

Over the past fifteen years, Stephanie has served students through various roles as a teacher, admissions counselor and career coach.  She holds a bachelor's degree in education from Northwestern College, and is currently working on her master's degree in Higher Education at Montana State University.  Stephanie is dedicated to empowering young people to discover their dreams and develop the life skills to achieve them.

Before coming to MSU, Christy had been overseeing first-year experience programs at Eastern Oregon University for the past five years. She graduated with her M.Ed. In Student Development in Higher Education from the University of Maine in 2008, and also has an MA in Psychology from DePaul University in Chicago. Christy is the program manager overseeing SmartyCats tutoring and the First-Year Initiative. She enjoys outdoor activities like hiking and cross country skiing in the winter during her spare time.

Sam started working in the office as a student while attending Montana State University earning her B.S. in Business Marketing with a minor in Entrepreneurship and Small Business Management.  Sam currently works in the office assisting with communications and promoting events and workshops through email, website, and other advertising. She also handles coordinating presentation requests for the office.

Originally from a ranching family in Central Montana, Laurie attended MSU and received her B.S. in Health and Human Development, Family Science while also dancing for MSU. She went on to receive her M.S. in School Counseling, and has been in Bozeman ever since.  Laurie 's passion lies in guiding the developing student to become a competent, contributing  member of society.  She also enjoys spending time with her two children and her husband, running, hiking, camping, skiing, and horseback riding.

In 2012, Kayla graduated from the University of Montana with a Bachelors of Science degree in Community Health. Kayla is the Program Manager for the Office of Financial Education where she promotes and encourages students to make financial sound decisions while they are attending MSU. Kayla enjoys all of the outdoor activities that Bozeman, MT has to offer; including but not limited to hiking, biking and floating the river.

Janet received a B.S. in Psychology from Colorado State University and a M.A. in Education from The University of Colorado. She taught Elementary Education for 14 years in Broomfield, Colorado. In 2003, Janet and her family reconnected with their Montana roots and moved to Bozeman.  In Bozeman, Janet has worked at REI, taught Nordic Ski Clinics and been a K-12 Substitute School Teacher, in addition to working one on one with students as a Success Advisor.

Taylor L. Moeller joined MSU's Office of Student Success in July 2013 as an AmeriCorps VISTA Member serving with Montana Campus Compact. She hails from Bradenton, FL and graduated in 2012 from the University of Central Florida in Orlando, FL with a B.S. in Psychology and a minor in Political Science. This past year Taylor was a Corps Member with City Year, an education-based non-profit, in Orlando. She is stoked to be supporting the SmartyCats tutoring program at MSU. Taylor enjoys reading anything she can get her hands on and running in the great outdoors.

Justin Redeen currently is a Montana Campus Compact AmeriCorps VISTA member serving with the Office of Financial Education. He graduated from the University of Montana in December 2012 with a BA in political science and a concentration in American politics. He previously interned for Project Vote Smart, a voter education non-profit.

Dylan graduated with a BA in History from Montana State University Billings in May of 2013, his final semester of school was spent as the student lobbyist for ASMSUB at the 2013 Montana State Legislature. Upon graduation, Dylan was accepted as an Americorps Vista member for the Montana Campus Compact program. In this role, Dylan will be serving in the Office of Student Success helping to build the capacity of the Return to Learn program.
