Email is a vital piece of campus communication. Your professors and university offices will use your automatically assigned student email to keep you informed. Be sure to check your email frequently! CatCard
Your CatCard is not only your form of identification at MSU, but it is also your ticket to various services and events around campus including dining halls, the gym, sporting events, and much more. Forgot your CatCard? No problem! Just use the hand scanners. To learn more, please visit the CatCard website, or call them at 994-2273.

The iClicker is an easy to use remote that allows for dynamic classroom participation by allowing the user to submit attendance and responses to in class quizzes. If an iClicker is required for your classes, you can purchase one at the MSU Bookstore and register it here.

D2L
Desire to Learn is an interactive online supplement for many MSU courses. D2L makes it easy to submit assignments, stay up to do date on course information, and offers a dynamic learning environment. Make sure you know which of your professors utilize D2L and check it frequently!

MyInfo is an important tool you will use throughout your academic career. From here, you can register
for classes, pay your bill, accept financial aid and much more!

Google Docs & Calendar
Through your student email, you have access to Google’s numerous and useful tools. Check out the various features to see how they can help you. Log into your email and explore the many ways these services can help you stay organized!
Library
As an MSU student, you will need to know how to navigate the physical and virtual library. If you have any library related questions, don’t hesitate to utilize the “Ask a Librarian” page where you can chat, text, or email a reference librarian. Make sure to check out their online tutorials as well.
Computer Tutor
Not so technologically savvy? No problem! Your Computer Tutor will assist you with a variety of issues so that you can confidently complete your assignments. Call the Office of Student Success at 994-7627 to learn more.
Smart Pen Rental
A Smart Pen is an excellent tool that allows the user to record a lecture while taking notes. The audio can then be played back at points that coincide with whatever section of notes the user is reviewing. If you would like to learn more about renting a Smart Pen, please call the Office of Student Success at 994-7627, or drop by the office in SUB 177.

Did you know you can request your free tutor online? Just go to the SmartyCats webpage and click on the “I Want a Tutor” button and log in with your NetID. You may also drop by the Office of Student Success in 177 SUB to fill out a request form.
ChampChange
ChampChange is a program for freshman and sophomore students developed to connect you to MSU’s academic and extra-curricular events and activities. You can earn points for participating in these events that you can spend to win prizes. Check out the ChampChange webpage to learn more about earning and spending points.
MSU Alert
MSU Alert is a notification system to deliver critical information to MSU students, faculty and staff in the event of an emergency. The system delivers emergency messages through text messaging to cellular phones and e-mails. Enrollment in MSU Alert is easy!
