    Getting started

For incoming freshmen, Summer Session core courses offer a jump start on a college career as well as an introduction to the level of work that is expected of a student at MSU.

    Provisional Admits

If you have already applied to MSU, but have been placed on provisional, part-time admission, you can use Summer Session as a great way to gain full time acceptance. If your goal is to carry 12 or more credits in the fall term, Summer Session 2005 offers a pathway for success.

A part time student can enroll for seven or fewer credits during the summer. If a 2.00 grade point average is earned in the credits carried, full-time enrollment will be allowed in the fall.

If you are in this category, there are many advantages to starting your college career during Summer Session:

    • small core classes allow for individual attention
    • Summer Session choices can compliment your future course selections
    • an academic adviser can assist you in making choices that will lead to a successful college experience
    • it's a great way to ease into college life
    • spending the summer in Bozeman is about as perfect as it gets
