Summer Parking Updates
For visitors to MSU: There are no free parking areas on campus for visitors. We ask that all visitors park in our 134-space designated lot on the corner of South 7th Avenue and West Grant Street. Illegally parked cars will be fined $45. There is an information kiosk at the lot and an attendant to answer questions and provide directions. Parking rates in the lot are: free for the first half-hour; $2 for second half-hour to hour; 50 cents for each additional hour; $5 daily maximum; $1 6 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.
As an alternative, visitors may purchase a $2.50 daily hangtag which allows parking in any of the lots designated SB, D, E or F on campus maps. Hangtags can be purchased at the above listed information kiosk or from the University Police, located at the corner of South 7th Avenue and Kagy Boulevard. Hangtags are not valid for any parking in spaces designated as reserved. Reserved spaces have signs delineating them as reserved and are located throughout campus in several SB lots.
Handicapped parking spaces are designated in red and located in convenient spots throughout the campus. An MSU parking permit and a state issued handicapped tag or handicapped plates are required to park in any handicap location.
For Students, Staff and Faculty: Numerous construction projects around campus will cause major changes to parking at Montana State University this summer. Changes are listed below and updates will be made regularly. For information about campus parking permits, policies or fines, please visit http://www.montana.edu/police/parkingservices.shtml.
