Happy Earth Month, MSU!
Here at Montana State we dedicate the entire month of April to celebrate the Earth. We incorporate gardening, biking, recycling and more into Earth Month. Check out our events below.

Tuesday, April 14th- Friday April 17th 11:00 am- 1:00 pm on the Mall
Bring your bikes, rain or shine! Get free tune ups, coffee, snacks, a raffle and tons of info on biking on campus and in the community. The Office of Sustainability, MSU Bicycle Task Force, ASMSU Outdoor Recreation, the Bozeman Bike Kitchen, Zocalo, Gallatin Valley Land Trust, Rickshaw Tony, University Police, Gear Wizard and Red Wagon Coffee are happy to present this event to everyone at MSU. It's time for the annual Engineers Without Borders recycled fashion show! Models will be showing off designs made entirely of trash and recycled materials- from fabulous ball gowns made of old birthday balloons to dresses crocheted out of plastic bags. The event is fun for all ages, and all proceeds support Engineers Without Borders' projects in Kenya this summer!

GVBC sponsors the Gallatin Valley’s annual bike swap, which has been a huge success in the community over the past several years. Community members are welcome to sell bikes or bike related items for a $1 commission fee per item, plus 15% of the item price, which goes to benefit the bike club. The Swap is open to the public. Swap volunteers are allowed to enter the swap first, GVBC members second, and the public third.
First Annual Campus Sustainability Awards

The Campus Sustainability Advisory Council (CSAC) is proud to host the first Annual Campus Sustainability Awards on April 20th, 2015. Stewardship of our natural resources is core value at Montana State University. CSAC would like to recognize the outstanding individuals, groups and departments on campus whose commitment to environmental, social and economic sustainability is transforming Montana State University into a living laboratory for stewardship and sustainability. Earth Day - What's in Your Trash?

We are celebrating Earth Day by digging in- literally. We are pulling a dumpster onto the Mall, and we are recycling everything that was thrown away. Gloves available, feel free to join us!If you have any questions, contact MSU Office of Sustainability (406)994-6873.
Electric Car Show
Thursday, April 23rd 11:00 am- 2:00 pm on the Mall
Join us for our 3rd Annual Electric Car Show on the Mall, as community members bring their sustainable vehicles onto the mall to show students how they work. Snacks and drinks provided. If you have any questions, contact MSU Office of Sustainability (406)994-6873.
Donate a Tree, or Plant a Tree - Happy Arbor Day!
Friday, April 24th 10:00 am- 2:00 pm West side of 15th along the sports fields (intersection of Lincoln and 15th)
Let's plant some trees in celebration of Earth Day, Arbor Day and MSU’s designation as a Tree Campus USA! Bring gloves, and any tools you have to join us dig and plant. If you aren't looking to get dirty, feel free to donate some money to the cause. Tree donations are $200/tree, helping us plant is FREE. Gloves, trash bags and an orange vest will be provided for you to roam around the Bozeman area and pick up litter and recyclables. All volunteers provided free lunch afterwards!
