Welcome to MATH 103, a Tutor Assisted Course (TAC).

MATH 103 is a self-paced course with no regular class meetings, so you may complete the course within the first 3 weeks, or take a full year*. MATH 103 features flexible pacing/testing, mastery learning, and required study time in the Math Learning Center.

The MATH LEARNING CENTER (MLC) is in 1-112 Wilson Hall.
Your Cat Card is REQUIRED when entering and leaving the learning center.

Although this course is self-paced, you are not ``on your own.'' Many resources are available to you in the MLC, such as tutors/instructors, the course supervisor, videos, reviews, and solutions manuals. In addition, your own personal progress report with daily updates is accessed by logging in on this page (left side).

Because MATH 103 is self-paced, students who make satisfactory progress during the semester may qualify for an N-grade. N-grades are non-punitive and allow students to continue working in MATH 103 the next semester. For more information about the requirements and advantages of an N-grade, as well as more specific details about MATH 103, pick up a course information packet in the MLC.

MATH LEARNING CENTER HOURS:   Monday & Tuesday:    8:30 a.m. -- 5 p.m.
Wednesday: 8:30 a.m. -- 8 p.m.
Thursday: 8:30 a.m. -- 5 p.m.
Friday: 8:30 a.m. -- 2 p.m.

Supervisors for MATH 103 are Sandy Bowers, and Mary Ann Sojda. In addition, Shae Thompson supervises the TRIO/SSS sections. A course supervisor is available in the MLC during the following times:

Course Supervisors' Hours:   Monday, Wednesday, Friday:   9 a.m. -- 2:00 p.m.
Tuesday, Thursday: 9 a.m. -- 11:30 a.m.

The flexibility in this course puts greater responsibility on you. Your study habits, motivation, and willingness to use the available resources will be key factors in your success. Come and see us in the MLC! We want you to succeed!

* - Taking multiple semesters to complete MATH 103 requires registration each semester.
