Information About Advisors


Student Survival Manual  Aptly titled, everything necessary to survive the college experience. Put together with the student in mind, this site and corresponding book titles are complete and comprehensive.

College Survival Guide  If you are going to survive in college, you need to know the rules of the game. The following suggestions have been contributed by college students, faculty, academic advisors and college counselors.

Study Skills Guide  A basic nine-step study skills program that is a first step in uncovering your potential  at the university.

On-line Study Skills Workshop  Short papers on a variety of necessary study skills. Most categories of necessity and interest are covered in this site from Virginia Tech Institute and State University.

MSU On-line Catalog  An explanation of registration policies at Montana State University.

Advising for Undergraduate Majors MSU  Each academic college or department offering one or more undergraduate majors leading to a bachelor's degree has developed an advising plan, which are listed by college.  Click onto this site to get the latest advising information for your major and/or college.

Core Curriculum MSU  MSU-Bozeman has a common core curriculum for all undergraduate students in the belief that it will enable them to reach their intellectual potential, to become contributing members of society, and to compete more successfully in our rapidly changing and increasingly complex world. Located here is an explanation of what is required of each graduating student.

Healthy Living  An extensive list of linked sites that are resources for a healthy lifestyle.

Mental Health Tips  An exhaustive list of topics and resources that focus on your mental health and well-being.

MSU Counseling and Psychological Services  Counseling and Psychological Services (CPS) is supported by State funds, as well as through health fees obligatory to students carrying seven or more credits.  Despite our offices being housed in the Swingle Health Building, CPS is not part of the Student Health Service, but rather an autonomous department within the Division of Student Affairs.

Campus Blues  An excellent and pertinent all-purpose site that contains topics such as: out of control behavior, anxiety attacks, gay and lesbian information, homesickness, healthy eating, and much more. This site is really geared toward students.
