Faculty Center Network  This popular site gives college faculty access to textbook information, including lists of top selling titles by course and discipline; textbook reviews; book-in-use data; new title information; discussion forums; and a course materials information exchange.IBM Solution Excellence Award Winner for best web site, this is the complete and comprehensive online source for textbook information.  It provides quick access to current information on textbooks, related materials and publishers.  There is a very advanced search site, and easy to follow links to specific information. A password is required for access, which is available to all faculty.

Textbooks In Perspective The selection of a textbook as the first step in the development and construction of a course may lead to unnecessary challenges such as the inability to 'cover the material' or lack of student interest in reading assignments. The following questions, to be asked as part of the process of textbook selection, can lead to a more thoughtful incorporation of a textbook in a course:

Books In Print Online  As the name suggests, a convenient and handy guide to books available. Quick, easy, and complete with search engine.

Textbooks In Perspective  From the Academy For the Art of Teaching, this site is formatted in a Q/A format. Designed a checklist for textbook selection and acquisition, the questions, can be asked as part of the process of textbook selection and can lead to a more thoughtful incorporation of a textbook in a course.
