HELP! Where To Go For Help With Classes?

We have various academic resources located right on the MSU-Bozeman campus. For instance, are you having a problem writing that paper for your Psychology class? Did you know you could get constructive feedback on any or all of your papers from staff in the Writing Center? AND best of all, the services is FREE! Yes, you read this right, FREE! Various departments on campus have "help" centers. In addition, tutors and instructors can help.

Advance By Choice The Advance By Choice program helps students to succeed in college with assistance in math, writing and study skills, tutoring, and personal support. Students must meet federal eligibility guidelines. For more information, please see their Web site.

American Indian Research Opportunities (AIRO) Working cooperatively with Montana's seven Tribal Colleges, AIRO has implemented specialized programs for American Indian students interested in science, mathematics, engineering, and technology. The major goal of AIRO is to recruit, retain, and graduate American Indians in SMET career fields.

General Studies at MSU The Office of General Studies provides assistance to a diverse student body in advising and guidance concerning academic opportunities and goals. The office accomplishes this mission by teaching, and advising students to encourage confident and independent action through the development of academic skills and knowledge.

Writing Center The Center's principal mission is to assist students in improving the quality of the academic writing. A free service, the Writing Center helps students perfect their critical thinking skills and develop confidence in their work. Trained tutors, both professionals and peers, work with students during all phases of the composition process: brainstorming, organizing, editing and proofing reading.
