Instructional Innovation Grants 2012-2013

The Center for Faculty Excellence, with funding from the Office of the Provost, is offering this one-time special call for which proposals may be submitted for up to $10,000. The funds are to support faculty enhancement in innovative pedagogy.

These grants are available to tenure track and non-tenure track faculty who have been employed at MSU for at least three years. They are intended to give faculty funding to create and develop new methods to improve their teaching and student learning with the goal of increasing student success.

Examples of proposals include—but are not limited to—the following:

  • Reverse instruction or flipping classrooms
  • Peer grading
  • Blending teaching and learning
  • Collaborative based learning
  • Competency based learning
  • Interdisciplinary teaching
  • Integration of teaching, research, and outreach/service
