I Moved My Phone And Now It Doesn't Work
So, you moved your phone and it doesn't work? Or it doesn't ring, but yet you get voicemail? These are just a couple of the reasons
why you ALWAYS have Telephone Services move your phone for you! Here are other reasons
why your phone might not work now:
- The phone jack you plugged your phone into is the opposite type than your phone is - meaning, if you have a digital phone and you plug
it into an analog jack, it isn't going to work!
- The phone jack has another extension assigned to it. This is why you would still receive voicemail, but your phone wouldn't
ring.
In all of these cases, a Telephone & Network Service Request Form is required.
At any time you are moving a phone, you must have your Telephone Coordinator complete this form. If you
choose to move phones on your own, the reasons listed above will occur!
If you are moving as part of a large project or remodel, the Telephone & Network Service Request form still needs to be completed,
but you should contact Pat Simmons at Extension 5460 or email her at
psimmons@montana.edu to schedule the project.
