Ed became the Oregon Area Representative in July 2007. He is a Captain in the Navy Reserve. He spent six years on active duty on submarines and is at 21 years and counting in the Reserves. Ed has owned and operated numerous retail stores in a major regional mall since leaving active duty. He, his wife, and six children reside in Vancouver, WA. Ed and his wife volunteer extensively in his community including the public schools-his children go to five different public schools in Vancouver. Ed is active in Scouts with his 4 sons.

Ed's interests and hobbies include learning about anything, canoeing, hiking, backpacking, reading, gardening, building, and investing.
