Donna Habecker

M.A. - (Physical Education) - California State University, Fresno

Donna is licensed as a school counselor in Montana and Alaska. She came to MSU in January of 2006, working in human resources, and joined Troops to Teachers in March of 2007. For most of the last 30 years, Ms. Habecker has been teacher of various subjects and various grade levels from kindergarten through junior college in Washington DC, Pennsylvania, Maine, California, Montana and Alaska. She has worked to create a school district and has been instrumental in curriculum development in her areas of expertise – health, physical education, career development and school-to-work. Having been certified as a teacher in six states, she understands licensure processes and alternative routes thereto.

She and her husband, Tom, have two daughters – one of whom is a teacher and the other an athletic trainer. Donna and Tom live outside Bozeman in a log home they designed and helped build. Tom is a retired National Park Service Ranger, and together they love to hike, work on their house, landscape, read and entertain friends and family.
