Montana Electric Cooperatives Association

Montana Electric Cooperatives Association (MECA) is a statewide trade association, which represents 25 electric cooperatives. These 25 electric cooperatives cover all 56 Montana counties as well as service in the Dakotas, Idaho, and Wyoming.

MECA provides a way to join the electric cooperatives in the state. This is beneficial for a few reasons. First, is one strong voice in the same direction will get more accomplished than that of 25 small voices in different directions. MECA also conducts Safety and Loss seminars for local coops as well as publish Rural Montana, which is a magazine about rural Montana.
