Sack Lunches

You may request a sack lunch from the dining hall cashier for a $4 charge. Requests should be placed 24-hours in advance of when the lunch is needed.

Note:  During finals weeks, sack lunches will only be allowed for test conflicts and with specific approval by the food manager of your operation.

Contact the Residence Dining Hall Manager to make arrangements.

Meal Pass

The Food Service entrances have computerized card readers which register the number of meals eaten by each individual. In addition, each entrance has hand readers. All students participating in the meal plan need to have a Cat Card or know your ID number and have your hand scanned at the Cat Card Office. Your Cat Card account contains information indicating the particular meal plan you have chosen. The card reader or hand scanner will record your meal number in the computer base and indicate whether or not you have a valid meal plan.

Your meal pass is valid in any of the three dining halls. The Cashiers Office is located in the Hedges Complex at the north entrance to the dining hall. If you should have questions concerning this service, please call 994-4961.

Special Dietary Needs

University Food Service has a nutritionist on its staff to help you with special dietary needs.  The office is located in the Hedges Complex.

Nutrition information can be made available through written material, nutrition/dietary meetings and private discussions, if you desire.

Weekly table tents with nutritional information are placed on the tables. Nutrition information bulletin boards are located in each dining hall with health tips, menu recommendations and the latest in nutrition research.

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact our nutritionist, Jill Abbott-Stoltzfus at 994-7097

Lost Meals

Should you lose or have a problem with your meal plan, please go to the in the Cashier's Office in the Hedges Complex.

Lost cards are replaced for $15. You will be instructed to get a new ID at the Cat Card office in the SUB.

Your meal plan is non-refundable. You are encouraged to treat your CatCard like a credit card. If someone else is found using your ID, you will be charged for the meals eaten by that person.

Report any lost cards immediately. Your ID number can then be invalidated, preventing someone else from using it.

Birthdays

If you, your roommate or friend will be having a birthday during the school year, you can order a decorated birthday cake from your dining hall for Free! Birthday cakes come fresh from the Fat Cat Bakery!

We ask that you place your order at least 24 hours before the desired pick up time.

Only one cake will be prepared per person per school year, and the cake must be ordered within the week of the actual birthday.

In addition, the Cat Card is utlized to access the Residence Hall washers and dryers. With the Cat Card, there is no need for you to carry cash on campus.
