The first to undergo construction will be Miller Dining Hall which will be completed in two phases.

Phase 1 will focus on exterior renovations including new entrances, window replacements, and construction of new office spaces. While minor noise disruptions may occur and alternative entry points will be appointed, Miller will continue to operate and serve customers through the spring semester while construction is underway.

February 2014

17th - Staging for phase 1 will begin surrounding Miller.

March 2014

10th-14th - Miller's North entry will be closed for construction. Students can access the dining hall through an outdoor tunneled walkway located outside of North Hedges or through the South entrance.

*The South entrance will remain open until the end of the semester with the exception of the late night exit to the West

May 2014

2nd - Miller closes for the summer. Miller's South entry will be closed for construction. Offices including the Cashier's Office and Residence Life offices will be relocated (TBD)

August 2014

12th - Harrison will open and become the main operation through the summer months.



Miller is currently in the beginning stages of phase two. This phase will focus on interior renovations including food concepts, service areas, dish room, and installation of new equipment and furniture.

In a continued effort to advance the University’s commitment to enhance the quality of campus life and build a better campus community, University Food Services is conducting a series of renovations to the dining hall facilities.  Miller Dining Commons was the first facility to undergo transformation and is currently in construction phase two.  From March 16 through May 8, Miller will be re-configured to accommodate the renovation process.

During this time, Miller will maintain regular operating hours (including Late Nite Bites), and will

• savory hot food options
• a salad bar
• taco bar
• bagel & cereal bar
• dessert bar
• beverage stations

In addition, a new grab-n-go option will be available during breakfast, lunch, and dinner in the South Lobby as well as in Miller.  The grab-n-go option will feature a variety of:

• pre-made sandwiches and wraps
• soup and chili
• pasta salads
• leafy green salads
• coffee/tea, juice, Pepsi products, and bottled water

Additional seating will be available in the North and South Hedges lobbies.

Don’t see anything on the menu that sounds good?  Don’t forget that Harrison and Hannon Dining Halls feature different daily menu items and will remain fully operational during these dates.   CNC Cash and Cat Cash can also be used in the retail operations.

Dining Commons.
