Completing the Project in Style!
After completing your project, you will write a final report and present the results of your work at the Undergraduate Scholars Conference.
 
Write a Final Report
After completing your project, you are required to write and submit a final report. Generally, final reports are about five to ten pages in length and written in a style suitable for publication if the paper were to be submitted to a professional journal in your field. Your faculty sponsor must approve all final reports before they are submitted to the USP.
NOTE: You must download, complete, and submit the "Final Report Cover Sheet" with the rest of your report.  We are using this data for program review purposes.  Your privacy will be respected.
Please include the following sections in your final report:
Final Report Cover Sheet
Abstract
Introduction
Background Information
Methods Used in the Study
Results
Analysis
Conclusions
Suggestions for Future Work
 
Obtain Approval from your Faculty Sponsor
Submit your final report to your faculty sponsor for review, feedback, and approval. Your faculty sponsor must approve all final reports before they are submitted to the USP.
 
Submit your Final Report to the USP Office
After you have received final approval from your faculty sponsor, submit your final report the USP Office on the appropriate deadline date.
 
Present the Results of your Work
Upon accepting funding from the USP, you have committed to making a public presentation of the results of your work.
 
Undergraduate Scholars Conference hosted by the Undergraduate Scholars Program
All students who accepted funding from the USP are expected to make a presentation
The Undergraduate Scholars Conference is hosted by the Undergraduate Scholars Program
Held at MSU in April

Excellent opportunity to see and hear about other USP projects

Fun and exciting day for students, faculty, and administrators
 
Regional and/or National Professional Meeting
Students are encouraged to present their findings at a regional and/or national professional meeting
Contact the USP Director, Steven Holmgren, or your faculty sponsor for more information
Complete a Travel Application to apply for a travel grant to help pay for travel expenses
 
National Conference on Undergraduate Research
Contact the USP Director, Steven Holmgren, or your faculty sponsor for more information
Complete a Travel Application to apply for a travel grant to help pay for travel expenses
 
Acknowledge and Inform the USP Office
Should your work result in a publication, conference presentation, an exhibit, recital, etc., support from the MSU Undergraduate Scholarship Program should be acknowledged.
It is also critically important that you inform the USP Office of this activity.
