What is it?

The MSU Calendar of Events is the quickest way to broadcast your campus event to the Montana State University audience.  Used by students, faculty and staff, it is one of the most wide-ranging applications created by Web & Digital Communications.  Events from this system show up our faculty/staff and student landing pages, selected campus digital signage, our tri-weekly MSU Today email and other various sites throughout our domain.

How do I create an event?

Log in to the Calendar (it is part of our larger COPE publishing platform) with your NetID and NetID password. Create your event, upload an image to accompany it (optional but recommended), and submit it.  Web & Digital Communications reviews all submitted calendar events; this approval process takes about 24 hours. After approval, your event will immediately display in the MSU calendar.

Can I embed a feed of events on my webpage?

You can display a feed/stream of MSU Calendar events on your web page or digital sign by a topic, college, department or any combination thereof.  The example events feed on the right is populated with up to 5 upcoming events tagged with "Web & Digital Communications".

The number of events shown can be adjusted, a search box and pagination can be turned on if your pool of events is large and we can customize the display template.

If you'd like to discuss these options or get help implementing one, please fill out a support ticket and we will be in touch shortly.
