Congratulations! You have been selected as part of a team to travel to the endangered rainforests of South America. It is up to you to gather valuable and interesting information to take back to your school and share with your classmates. You want to show them how important the rainforests are and why we must protect them. You may not be an expert on the rainforest yet, but by the end of your quest you will be. Watch out for spotted frogs, anacondas, venus fly traps, and other amazing creatures! Remember, the more you learn about this amazing place the more you can teach the people around you.
The Task. . .
Did you know that our world's rainforests are being destroyed at a rate of150 acres per minute! Some people just don't know the importance, uniquness and value of the rainforest. In this quest you will be sent on a series of missions to explore the rainforest. Follow each mission closely. Answer each question and do each activity the best you can. Then you will come back with knowledge to share with your classmates, school, family and community.

Good Work Rainforest Researcher!
Aren't rainforests amazing ecosystems? There is so much to learn about them. Hopefully you will continue to take interest in learning about the rainforests. Thanks for taking the time to complete the missions. If our rainforests are being destroyed at a rate of 150 acres per minute how many acres have been destroyed in the time it took you to complete this WebQuest? Unbelievble, huh! You now have a nice portfolio to use as a resource. I challenge you to keep adding to it and learning more!
