Preventive Health Screens
The MUS Wellness program offers several preventive health screens that assess risk, awareness, and provide information, guidance, and support for a healthier lifestyle. These tests can have a major influence on reducing health problems and lead to a healthier you!
The Following Tests Are Available:
Chemistry Screen: This screening consists of 33 blood chemistry tests measured by computer. Screenings include electrolytes, cholesterol, lipids, TSH (thyroid), kidney, liver, bone, muscle and iron function. Results are reviewed by campus physicians and/or nurse practitioners and each participant receives a letter explaining their results.
*Note:Test requires a 12 hour fast - (water only, medications permitted)

CBC (Complete Blood Count)
C-Reactive Protein
Hemoglobin A1C
PSA (Prostate Specific Antigen test, used to detect prostate cancer)

Blood Pressure Screenings
are available free to plan members; call your campus Wellness office for availability.
Colon Cancer Screenings are recommended annually to those 50 and older. This free kit is available at your campus Wellness office; call for availability.
Flu Shots are offered free to plan members and their insured spouses (children are not eligible) each fall, subject to national vaccine availability. Contact your campus Wellness office for dates and locations.
