Small Steps to Health and Wealth
Many Montana families are financially stressed because of the downturn in the economy. MUS Wellness and MSU Extension are teaming up to help families cope (and improve their health at the same time)!
Small Steps to Health and Wealth™ (SSHW) is an exciting two-session program that can help you find financial solutions in these tight economic times plus the added benefit of learning creative ideas to improve your health! SSHW will be offered to MUS employees on November 6th and 13th during the noon hour.
The sessions will be taught via the internet (instructions will be provided on how to download free online program). Presenters Marsha Goetting, MSU Extension Family Economics Specialist, and Lynn Paul, MSU Extension Food and Nutrition Specialist, will show you how to use the same strategies to change both your health and financial situation. You’ll quickly realize how much your health and personal finances are connected. Every participant will set goals in health and/or wealth and take action by identifying small, doable steps for achieving personal goals.
You must register for the program by October 31 so you can be sent the workbook that is used during the session. Thanks to financial support from MUS Wellness and MSU Extension, the cost is only $5 for each participant, reduced from $25. A past participant said, “I’ve lost 15 pounds since the SSHW class and have automated savings for the first time since I’ve been married.” You can view more success stories at: www.montana.edu/sshw/successstories.html
