College of Nursing student Evan Thompson had positive, life-enriching experiences as a volunteer EMT in Libby, Montana. Through his EMT work, and the encouragement of ER nurses with whom he worked, Evan became inspired to pursue a nursing degree at Montana State University.
Evan’s dedication to his studies and commitment to volunteer service, has led his colleagues to selecting him as president for the Great Falls Chapter of the Montana Student Nurses Association.
In the future, Evan plans on continuing his education at the graduate level and becoming a Family Nurse Practitioner, without an overwhelming burden of student debt. Private support for scholarships and fellowships makes this possible.
