Wireless Network

ITC - NSO

If you are an MSU student, faculty, or staff member, you may need to tweak a setting on your laptop to prevent automatically connecting to the guest access in the library if you want to use MSU Authenticated Access instead (assuming you've already gone to the ITC help desk).

To turn off the automatic login feature (click here for a screenshot of the steps below)

Go to Start Menu
Control Panel
Network Connections
Wireless Network Connection
Change the status of this Connection
Pick the Wireless Networks tab
Advanced
Uncheck the "Automatically connect to non-preferred networks" box and close and save the settings.

This should allow you to connect to the MSU-authenticated networks rather than the MSU Guest network in the library.
