Description:

Amy Reines is an Assistant Professor in Physics at Montana State University.  Her research is focused on the origin of supermassive black holes, which reside at the center of every full-sized galaxy including our Milky Way.  In this talk, Amy will discuss her non-traditional path leading to an academic career, some of the challenges faced along the way, and of course black holes!
