What is your academic history? I graduated from Colorado Mesa University (Grand Junction, CO) with a Bachelors in Mathematics, Statistics, and Economics. I received my Master's in Statistics in December of 2016, and am currently in my third semester of doctoral research and coursework.

What is your research focus? The focus of my dissertation is on the computational expectations and abilities of graduate students in environmental science fields. I am focusing on describing the computational burden that these students are facing and developing curricula or resources that will help to alleviate these burdens.

What is/are your career aspiration(s)? I aspire to be a tenure-track faculty member at either a small research institution or a teaching college.

Why did you choose MSU for grad school? I chose to attend MSU because of my connection with the faculty and the landscape of the area. I wanted both a collaborative graduate program and to be close to the mountains.

What is one non-academic interest/hobby that you have/do? I learned to ski last year and it possibly the sport that makes me the most happy!
