TRiO Student Support Services Math Courses

  • All TRiO SSS math classes are restricted entry.
  • TRiO reimburses the cost of credits taken in TRiO courses.
  • You must see a TRiO counselor and be eligible for the program to enroll.
  • TRiO Math adheres to the Math Department course guidelines, prerequisite requirements and grading procedures.

MATH 085-71 & -72 are 3 credit pass/fail courses that meet three times per week.  Pre-algebra is a lecture course with hands-on work opportunities; it is the pre-requisite course to Math 103 (MSU) or Math 101 (COT).

MATH 103- Sections 71 & 72 are 3 credit courses that meet 3 times per week. Students must also spend 100 minutes per week working on math in the Math Learning Center (1-112 Wilson); Math Learning Center times will show on your schedule on Tuesdays and Thursdays at the same time as your class unless you arrange for alternative lab/test times (easily done). Math 103 is the pre-requisite course to all 100-level MSU math courses.

  • Sections 71 & 72 are lecture classes. The pace is rigorous and students are expected to keep up with all out-of-class assignments and testing.   Tutors are available through the TRiO office (146 SUB) and in the Math Learning Center.

  • For more information about our math classes contact: the TRiO office at 994-4541.
