During pregnancy, it is best to exercise at least three days a week.
Also during pregnancy the woman should not do any exercises that cause stress to the abdominal area. For example, lying flat on the back can decrease the blood flow to the uterus.
The woman should not do any exercises that may cause loss of balance, especially after the third trimester.
An additional 300 calories are needed per day during pregnancy-so one should be mindful while exercising to ensure an adequate diet.
