This is a student funded legal service for activity fee paying students
(students with 7 credits or more.) One full-time attorney meets with students
on an individual basis to provide them with legal advice, limited representation,
and if necessary, referrals to local attorneys. ASLS has been in operation
since 1982 and has helped students with a variety of problems, such as
uncontested dissolutions of marriage, stepparent adoptions, name changes,
criminal misdemeanors, and tenant's security deposits and leases. To see
the lawyer the cost is $8.00 and you must make an appointment. Come to the ASMSU office (next
to the ASK-US desk) and an appointment will be scheduled for you.
