The College of Letters and Science offers professional preparation in the humanities and the mathematical, natural and social sciences, and moreover provides opportunity for all MSU students to develop a solid academic foundation through courses outside their major subject areas. Baccalaureate programs are available in anthropology, biology (including fish and wildlife management), chemistry and biochemistry, earth sciences, economics, English, history, mathematics and statistics, microbiology, modern languages, philosophy, physics, political science, psychology, and sociology.

Minor in Native American Studies
Minor in Museum Studies
Minor in Japan Studies
Minor in Women's Studies
The selection of a minor provides students the opportunity to have a recognized second area of concentration.
