Training Programs at CPS

CPS has training programs for Pre-Master's and Post-Master's Interns, along with an APA accredited Doctoral Internship Program in Professional Psychology. To view the Pre-Master's/ Post-Master's Internship announcement, please click on the link at the bottom of the page.

 

** CPS Doctoral Internship in Professional Psychology **

Montana State University Counseling and Psychological Services (CPS) offers a full time, 12 month, APA accredited Doctoral Internship in Professional Psychology.  The training program provides an array of experiences typical of Counseling Centers including: provision of therapy (individual, couples, group), crisis intervention, assessment (intakes, psychological evaluations), outreach, consultation, scholarship, as well as other activities appropriate to this setting. It also offers a potential unique opportunity to work at Montana State Hospital for 13 weeks during the summer (pending housing availability, and funding for travel).

We view the environment of the center as a strength. Respect for individual differences and multicultural competence, the value of relationships, professional and personal growth - are all cultural values upheld in the center and are pivotal components of the training program.
