Educational Leadership
Welcome to the web site of Educational Leadership, a unit within the Department of Education, Montana State University-Bozeman.
Fully NCATE accredited graduate education programs designed to prepare school leaders are available at the Master's level in elementary and secondary administration (principals), at the Educational Specialist level in elementary and secondary adminstration, and in general school administration (superintendency), and at the Doctoral level in elementary, secondary, and general administration (superintendency).
A significant portion of all degree and certification programs are delivered utilizing distance education technology. Some are thus offered in their entirety. For more detailed information, please see the distance education page under Program Information in the upper left corner of this page. If student numbers warrant, instruction is sometimes delivered to locations around the state by traveling professors. Some courses are hybrid in nature, combining distance delivery with face-to-face instruction.
If you wish to prepare as a school leader, review the Degree Process listed under Program Information. To get general information about admissions, contact our Graduate Programs Assistant listed under Contact Us at the left of this page.
If you need information about specific course requirements, a program sequence, or other advising issues, contact a faculty member listed under the Faculty link found on this page.
