Research Interests
My main research interests has been in the geomorphology of lacustrine basins, groundwater and surface water interactions, the use of geographical information systems, and advances in earth science education. Much of my current research has been regarding the stratigraphic and geomorphic history of Lake Bonneville by looking at the Intermediate paleoshorelines of the lake basin that were deposited between 14 - 20 C14 kya. Some of the analysis of these paleoshorelines included understanding components of wave energy by analyzing proxies such as paleofetch, paleoslope, sedimentary structures, and landform development. In addition, I have been looking at the hydroisostatic rebound of the Bonneville basin and at how the the deposits of the lake relate to regional changes of climate during the late Pleistocene.
