The McNair Scholars Program at MSU serves the needs of 25 undergraduate students annually who are either first-generation/low-income or minorities traditionally underrepresented (e.g. Native American, Latino, Alaskan Native, and African American). Eligible scholars are selected who have demonstrated strong academic potential and are committed to attending graduate school and pursuing an advanced degree. A particular focus of the MSU McNair program is providing research/project opportunities and financial support for summer projects for each student who is paired with a faculty mentor.
The Undergraduate Scholars Program (USP) is dedicated to helping students pursue scholarly activities in all disciplines by providing funding to students who undertake an investigative or creative project in collaboration with a faculty mentor. We encourage you to put together a research project and submit a proposal. We look forward to having the opportunity to fund your work!
The College of Letters & Science is pleased to announce travel grants for both undergraduate and graduate L&S students to present original research at professional and academic conferences.
