Required Immunizations

A. MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) (Required).

~Two MMR immunizations: both after 12 months of age, the second after 1980. This meets requirements for Measles, Mumps and Rubella (B, C, and D), below. (Any before 1968 are not considered adequate)

B. Measles (Rubeola) (Required). Student complies if:

~Student had Measles (Rubeola) confirmed by medical record
or

~Student received two immunizations: one after 12 months of age, the second after 1980
or

~Student was born before January 1957.

C. Rubella (German Measles) (Required). Student complies if:

~Student has report of immune titer proving immunity.
or

~Student received two immunizations: one after 12 months of age, the second after 1980
or

~Student was born before January 1957.

D. Mumps (Required). Student complies if:

~Student had Mumps as confirmed by medical record.
or

~Student received two immunizations: one after 12 months of age, the second after 1980
or

~Student was born before January 1957.

E. Tuberculosis Skin Test (Required).

~Please use the Tuberculosis Screening Form to determine if you will be required to receive a PPD skin test before you can register for classes.

RECOMMENDED

  • Tetanus and Diphtheria

  • Hepatitis B

  • Polio. Student complies if primary series completed (2 oral Polio or 3 intramuscular vaccinations).

  • Meningococcal Meningitis

  • Flu shot. Recommended for students with asthma, diabetes, any chronic illness, if you are over 65 years of age, or with to avoid being ill with the flu. Attend the MSU walk-in Flu Vaccine Clinic for Students at the Student Health Service, Tuesday November 1st, Thursday November 17th, or Wednesday November 30th, 10:30-3:00.  Flu shots are also available at the Student Health Service Monday through Friday 8 - 4:30.
