Class Descriptions
Tai Chi- Combines slow, fluid movements, breathing and mental concentration to promote relaxation, balance, coordination and flexibility. The movements and postures will develop a better body structure and more energy in the body.
Spinning – Ready to sweat?! This amazing indoor cycling workout is guaranteed to give you an outstanding cardio blast. Certified instructors will lead you through a variety of endurance, sprint, and strength programs. Six of our bikes now have the new SPD clip in pedals as well as the toe cages.
Pilates – Pilates is a total body-conditioning system that integrates the mind and body to improve muscle control, strength and flexibility. Pilates achieves quality of movement and function be creating body awareness, coordination and endurance.
Total Body Conditioning – This class is designed to include conditioning for indoor and outdoor activities. Let’s get strong, flexible and conditioned together. All levels are encouraged to participate. We will demonstrate modifications and challenges for each exercise. We guarantee you a great conditioning workout. Try it.
Yoga – This class will introduce the student to yoga stretches and postures to increase flexibility, strength, endurance, poise, and balance. It utilizes the breath to focus internally to unite the body and mind in movement.
Kick ’n Core – Join us for a great kickboxing class with an added component of core strength. This class is designed for participants of all fitness levels and will challenge everyone’s cardio fitness. The energy in this class is contagious! Join us!
Hydro-Fitness – This enjoyable form of exercise makes creative use of the natural resistance and buoyancy of water to provide a low-impact workout that is both fun and effective. Hydro-fitness is suitable for all ages and different levels of fitness. You need not be a swimmer to enjoy and benefit from this workout.
Boot Camp- Need we say more? An intense full body conditioning class that trains both muscular and cardiovascular systems through an entertaining mix of lower and upper body resistance exercises, core strengthening movements, and aerobic calisthenics. Structured in a manner enjoyable, yet challenging, for all regardless of fitness level and/or background. Come join in on the fun…
Maximum Core – Put your body back into the neutral position with this class! This class is designed to strengthen your core area. These are the muscles in your abdomen, sides, and back. A stronger core will improve your strength and stability and help you perform all of your physical activities easier.
Body Sculpting- This class will give you an opportunity to get a total body resistance workout in one session. By focusing on opposing muscle groups and using a myriad of resistance tools, the variety of routines is limitless and therefore always new and exciting. Join us in this class for a change in your lifting program and have fun sculpting with friends.
Zumba- Ditch the workout and join the party! Zumba routines feature interval-training sessions where fast and slow rhythms and resistance training are combined to tone and sculpt your body while burning fat. Add some Latin flavor and international zest into the mix and you’ve got Zumba!
Step ‘n Core- This class features core strength plus cardio conditioning, step, Bosu, and flexibility with a lot of variety and fun. Max Core Plus will give you an opportunity to improve on your cardiovascular conditioning (heart strength), your abdominals and lower back, plus gain flexibility and strength.
Ab Express- Short, sweet and sweat! In only 30 minutes maximize your ab and core workout with our certified instructors. Guaranteed to challenge your ab endurance, follow this with a dynamite Spin Session for a total body workout.
Burlesque- Come on lets take it off...the weight that is. This class is a combination of aerobic striptease with a touch of dancer's movement mixed with tons of sassy attitude. It is a great class for any uber femme that is interested in moving her body naturaly, unapologetically, and freely. Let us give you back your self confidence. Let us teach you to feel great in your own skin, but most importantly, let us dance and laugh.
Kickboxing- This workout might just be the hottest new workout in town! It blends your own hidden strength with the ancient art of self-defence, dance, and boxing combined with today's great music. Kickboxing is easy to learn because there is no complicated choreography. Kickboxing enthusiasts say it becomes addidctive and you will look forward to each class.
Old School and Then Some- Remember when (or maybe you don’t) classes were packed with fun-filled floor aerobics, then we moved on to the step for an added thrill? Step back to old school and step forward with your cardio challenge. “THEN SOME” times we add something different like drumming, kickboxing, or resistance training. Guaranteed fun along with fitness…what more could you ask for?
