Director of Academic Computing

This position reports directly to the Chief Information Officer (CIO) with overall responsibility within the
Information Technology Center (ITC) for planning, development, and implementation, of the Montana
senior management team, sharing responsibility for overall guidance, advisement, and policy
development for University IT operations.

This position reports directly to the Chief Information Officer (CIO) with overall responsibility within the
Information Technology Center (ITC) for planning, implementation, and operation of the Montana State
University’s enterprise administrative information system (Banner) for the four campuses of MSU.
Banner provides database management, transaction processing, Web services, reporting, and security
for finance, accounts receivable, student records, financial aid, and general person functions as well as
related services for interfaces to the state accounting and procurement card systems.

Anne Milkovich
This position reports directly to the CIO overseeing the business administration of the IT Center including strategic
planning and analysis, financial analysis and accounting oversight, human resource and personnel management
functions, internal administrative support, and university support services including faculty evaluations and exam
scanning services. This position serves on a variety of MSU strategic planning, personnel and finance related advisory committees.

Chief Security Officer, Enterprise Security
Adam Edelman
The Chief Security Officer reports directly to the CIO, providing high level strategic direction, planning,
analysis and auditing of security technology, policy, and support functions for the four campus enterprise
information technology systems. This position is responsible for leading the enterprise wide security efforts
including the development and implementation of policies and procedures, incident response, educational
outreach, technical consultation, and ongoing operations to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and
availability of the Universitys computing resources. The CSO will be responsible for the development and
implementation of a University wide security awareness training program.

Director of Network Systems and Operations
Tom Morrison
The Network Systems and Operations Director reports directly to the Information Technology Center (ITC)
Chief Information Officer (CIO) and is a member of the ITC Director's policy and management team. The
position manages the Network Systems and Operations unit of ITC providing direct supervision, operational management, and administrative control of four functional areas: Networks, Systems Administration,
Operations, and Communications Services.

Brad Garnick
This position reports directly to the Chief Information Officer (CIO) overseeing the services provided by the
Information Technology Center (ITC) related to procurement, configuration, and post-sale support and
maintenance of information technology products, including help desk support, on-site support of University
desktops and printers, and multimedia provisioning and technical support of classroom technology.
