MSU BlackBerry Service
Montana State University BlackBerry Service
Pricing Information
MSU BlackBerry Service is available for both personal and business use. Because the BlackBerry connects your email from
the Exchange server on campus, ITC provides a license, which is required to have your account on the BlackBerry Enterprise
Server. Please refer to the MSU Mobile Communications Device Policy in regards to voice and data allowances, etc. Click
here to view the policy.

If an exception to the Mobile Communications Device Policy has been approved, BlackBerry purchases are completed
through ITC-Telephone Services and all equipment is delivered directly to ITC-Telephone Services. This is to ensure
the BlackBerry is activated properly onto the BlackBerry Enterprise Server and all services are working before it is
handed over to the end user. Once the BlackBerry is activated and working properly, we then notify you and you can
choose to pick it up or have a staff member from Telephone Services to deliver it.
If you are purchasing a BlackBerry through a personal account, we ask that the device be shipped to you directly. Please
activate your phone and set it up accordingly. Because there are personal questions asked during this process, ITC-
Telephone Services is unable to process this for you. Once you have completed the activation process, please contact
Telephone Services at Extension 4671 to set up a time to activate the data portion of the BlackBerry on the BlackBerry
Enterprise Server. If you are on campus, we would ask that we set this time up so you can bring the BlackBerry
device to our office, so we can activate the device in person. Doing this process over the phone is very confusing
and can be time-consuming, so please call to set up a time to come to our office.
If you have any questions on the MSU BlackBerry Service or pricing, please contact David Zeter at extension 4671 or
email him at dzeter@montana.edu.
