Campus Online Directory Changes
Please let us know if you
have any changes to the campus directory online. As the academic year comes to
a close, there tends to be more faculty and staff leaving or changing positions
in the University.
Please visit the online
directory at http://gemini.msu.montana.edu/msuinfo/dplist.html.
Print out your department’s listing and make any necessary changes. You may
then fax it to extension 1955 or send it through campus mail to ITC-Telephone
Services, RN 58. Any changes to the online directory will also be reflected
when the campus directory is printed, which occurs in August.
If you have any questions,
please feel free to contact Chris at extension 1010.
MSU
BlackBerry Service
Do you travel frequently? Do you need access to
your montana.edu account no matter where you are? Would direct access to your
calendar, tasks, and contacts make it easier for you when you are not at your
desk? Well, MSU BlackBerry Service is available!
BlackBerries are the latest in
cellular technology, which allows you access to your desktop email no matter
where you are. If you have a montana.edu account, BlackBerry service is
available to you. A BlackBerry may have
voice and data service, or just one or the other. Prices do vary according to
plan services.
If you are interested in BlackBerry service or any
other cellular telephone services on campus, please call Chris Bauer at
994-1010. You can also email Chris at cbauer@montana.edu.
All purchases of cellular telephone services are required to be authorized
through ITC-Telephone Services.
Caller
ID Blocking
You may be aware that, when you call off-campus,
your telephone number will display if the number you call has caller-ID. Did you know that you can block your number
from displaying on a call, if you want to?
Just dial “*67” before dialing the “8” or “9” to call out, and your
phone number will be blocked as “Private” for that call.
One thing to remember, though, is that some people
have “Anonymous Call Blocking” enabled on their phone, which will reject your
call if your number is blocked and marked as private.
