Index # Changes

If you have any changes of index numbers for your long distance, line charges, or voicemail charges, please let Chris Bauer know as soon as possible. Simply send Chris an email at cbauer@montana.edu and provide the following information:

1.      Phone number

2.      What index number charges are currently being charged to

3.      What index number you want the charges to be billed to

4.      What charges do you want changed – e.g. long distance, line charge, voicemail, credit card calls

By providing Chris with this information as soon as you become aware, it saves all of us time in making corrections the following month.

If you have any questions, please let Chris know by calling her at extension 1010 or emailing her at cbauer@montana.edu.

Telephone Coordinators Training

The next Telephone Coordinators training seminar will be Wednesday, January 10, 2007 from 10:00 – 11:30 AM in Reid Hall, room 103.

The Telephone Coordinators training is held annually during Christmas break so as many of you as possible can attend.  The seminar includes information on our website, voicemail instructions and training, directory information, completing work requests, and much more! It’s also a great refresher course for those who have attended before!

We strongly encourage if you are a new telephone coordinator or have never been to a training seminar, to make an effort to attend. It’s also a great time to meet the ITC-Telephone Services staff.

If you are interested and plan on attending, please email Chris Bauer at cbauer@montana.edu or call her at extension 1010.

Service Providers Group Meeting – Mobile Communications Devices

Thursday, December 14, 10:00 – 11:30 AM in SUB 275, is the next Service Providers Group meeting and all Telephone Coordinators are invited!

This Service Providers Group meeting will include presentations from both Verizon Wireless and Alltel about their mobile voice and data products. We will also be providing time to discuss the new MSU Mobile Communications Device Policy, which was implemented the beginning of this fiscal year. Representatives from ITC, University Business Services, and HR-Personnel & Payroll will be on hand to answer questions you may have.

We strongly suggest your attendance if you have faculty or staff within your department that have mobile communications devices that MSU currently pays for or have personal accounts. We also invite any others within your department that you feel would benefit from attending this meeting.

Hope to see you all there!

Cellular Coverage On Campus

Effective December 1, 2006, Alltel now provides cellular coverage throughout campus.

Alltel and Verizon Wireless both have cell sites now on top of Leon Johnson Hall, which provides cellular coverage for all of campus.

You should now be able to use your cell phone in all buildings if you are with either provider!
