RE: Telephone Coordinators Newsletter October 2006
New Program Assistant Telephone Services
After a long time of
searching for the right person for the position of Program Assistant in
Telephone Services, we found that person!
Silvia
Harrington has accepted the position of Program Assistant for ITC-Telephone
Services. Silvia started October 2, transferring to our office from another
campus department, and is busily learning the ropes so she can assist in our
service to the campus community. Her
responsibilities will eventually include:
We also are happy to have
hired Vicky Lund, our Telecommunications Specialist, as an ITC employee. As of July 1, the State and University System
transitioned from a telephone maintenance contract with dedicated technicians,
to a contract where the technicians work directly for the State or University
unit. Many of the previously contracted
telephone technicians are now state employees.
Here is a list of who is
available in Telephone Services:
Campus Telephone Directories
By the time you read this,
you should have received your new 2006-2007 campus telephone directories,
delivered via Bulk Mail Services through campus mail delivery. They will be
delivering only the amount of directories that each Telephone Coordinator
reported to us over the summer.
Once you receive your
directories, if you believe that you need more, please send Chris Bauer an
email at cbauer@montana.edu. When
Telephone Services receives all of the extra books, we will then send out the
additional amounts requested by the departments. Please DO
NOT contact Bulk Mail, asking them to send you more.
The process takes a bit of time, and we do appreciate Bulk Mail for helping us
with the tedious process of delivery.

By providing Chris with
this information as soon as you become aware, it saves all of us time in making
corrections the following month.
If you have any questions,
please let Chris know by calling her at extension 1010 or emailing her at cbauer@montana.edu.
