I Call A Number And Get Someone Different
There are a few reasons this could happen and here are some solutions:
- Where and how are you trying to call?
What Class of Service does your phone have?
Are you able to dial this number? If you are not sure of your Class of Service, please contact Telephone
Services at Extension 0 or at Extension 2813.
- Try the number again to confirm you had dialed it correctly.
- Do you get an answering machine or voicemail? It could be the individual you are calling shares
an office with multiple people. Therefore, he or she shares the phone number.
- The individual you are calling might have their phone forwarded.
- Have you tried the number recently and actually spoken to the individual?
- If it's a number you were given over the phone or by voicemail, consider you might have written
the number down incorrectly. If you have an alternate method of contacting the individual, such as
by their department, company, or email, you might want to do this and verify the number.
