LGC.net
The Local Government Center is actively seeking funding for the development of an online suite of tools through the initiative LGC.net.
This initiative includes:
- Online registration for LGC training events
- Online surveying and data collection
- Interactive digital analysis of county and municipal profiles
- The development of an online encyclopedia of local governance developed from the cumulative institutional resources of the LGC and the greater MSU community
- The development and implementation of online courses and certifications on topics of concern to local governments
- Interactive Geographic Information Systems (GIS) to aid local governments in planning for development and disaster preparedness (such as wildfires)
- Online forums for the networks of local officials to share information and develop mutually beneficial relationships across the State.
