2008 City/Town Council Workshops
The Montana Municipal Insurance Authority and the MSU Local Government Center developed these workshops in response to continuing turnover of City Council members and the increase in inquiries about the position. The purpose of these workshops is to introduce key elements in the public process and provide a forum for elected officials to gain knowledge of and inquire about issues pertinent to their position in local government. The workshops are designed for both newly elected and experienced City Council members. While Mayors may also attend, we encourage Mayors to attend the 2008 Mayors Academy.
