Class H-1 (11) 0-4-0 Switcher. Total built 1. Baldwin Locomotive Works, 1871.

No. 11 was originally No.69, a construction engine used in building NP. Being very light, this engine was one of the 0-4-0 type that hauled trains across the Missouri River at Mandan on temporary tracks laid on ice before completion of the Missouri River Bridge. The 69 was renumbered 1070 in 1896 and then given No. 11 when converted to 0-4-OT for the Brainerd shops.

The 11 was a familiar sight at Brainerd for several decades. Whenever a shop worker was injured he was loaded onto a flat car and hauled by No. 11. with whistle screaming to the hospital. The picture was made at Brainerd August 11, 1916.
