| NP had very few wood burners, and only a few of the earlier locomotives were equipped with diamond or balloon stacks. This rare photo, made at Missoula in 1884, came from E.H. Carlson, long-time Master Mechanic. The 220 was renumbered to 896 in about 1898. |
