Performances from Sunday Night Multimedia Series LIVE! - May 6, 2007

Our students stay busy working to master music theory, music performance, music technology and general studies. But that doesn't mean we don't get to have a little fun now and then. Here's a brief look at some of our favorite Music Tech stories and personalities:
Year Zero - The Year of the Guinea Pig

Our core group of the first eleven Music Tech majors began classes in Year Zero (2006-2007). They are known as the Guinea Pigs, because they're taking new classes the first time they've ever been taught at MSU. On a field trip expedition to record interesting sounds at Giggles Toys here in Bozeman, the Year Zero group found and liberated their new mascot, Mr. Rogers:

"Prof. McGarity might critique your project, but Mr. Rogers says you're special just the way you are!"
Our new first-year Music Tech majors in 2007-2008 are so talented, energetic, and enthusiastic that the energy level around the music department since their arrival has been through the roof. You might even say the Computer Lab has become a bit of a zoo. During a particularly spirited class session when they suggested Year of the Ninja for their mascot, Prof. McGarity decided it was more like. . .
